Terms and conditions to booking a course and attending a course.
Booking a Course
A booking form will be sent by email for you to fill in, please fill in with all relevant information; this helps to prepare your certificate, and also allows the tutor to see what prior knowledge you hold. Please return within 24 hours of receiving, failure to return a form will risk you losing your place on the course.
Emailing a copy of your main therapy qualification can be included with your booking form, especially if it holds a pre-requisite.
A certificate will not be issued without a booking form.
Full payment is required to secure your place, your place cannot be held for you until received.
A full receipt will be issued by request.
Once payment AND booking form are received you will receive notification of enrollment, if you have previously enrolled on a course with us you will use the same log in details, if this is your first booking you will receive an email from guruholisticandbeautytraining.co.uk inviting you to enroll. Enrolment will only take place once payment and booking form has been received.
Please note that you can only use one device at any given time to access the course, you will need to log out if you wish to log in with another device.
Paying for your course
You can pay for the course by BACS, invoice through our Monza business account or cash by request, the invoice is sent out giving you the option to pay directly through it. If you haven’t received an invoice please contact us for details.

Deposit/Down payment
Any payment is totally non-refundable. If you cannot attend the course the payment will not returned to you. You may be able to transfer to the next course date if adequate notice is given. An admin payment may be required.
Notice of attendance
If you cannot attend the course,
7 days’ notice must be given; you can then be transferred to another course. Your payment/full payment can be transferred to the next course if adequate notice is given, an admin fee may be charged for this.
Notice of 7 days+ = moving to another course date
Deciding not to attend the course = nonrefundable payments / course fee not refundable
Notice of less than 7 days = loss of deposit and loss of course fee.
Sickness including Covid requirements, you will need to supply a GP note/drop in centre confirmation or NHS track and trace. Unfortunately ringing up and saying you are unwell is not adequate notice.
Confirmation of course date
Courses are run even with 1 person, if you wish to have a 1-2-1 an additional cost will be added to the training. We automatically offer the training on our social media otherwise.
If 1-2-1 training this will not enable you to receive a treatment on the day. Model(s) will be supplied for you to work on.
In house training at your venue is negotiable with student numbers so please discuss this with us.
Course manual
The course manual is the property of guru holistic and beauty training and is protected by copyright. You cannot reproduce any of the manual without express written permission by us. You will be in breach of contract by using any contents of the manual or teaching the subject from the manual. Attending training does not entitle you to teach the subject in the future.
The course manual access via our online portal, the link will be emailed to you prior to the course once you have paid the full course fee or if you buy the course directly from guruholisticandbeautytraining.co.uk you will have instant access. If you cannot print the manual off, we can provide a copy on the day at an additional cost of £5. If you wish it to be mailed to you, you will incur postage and packaging costs of £5.
Salon Training
If training is booked and paid for by salon owner the certificate is posted to the salon owner. Therapists requesting replacement certificates will need to obtain permission from the salon owner or will be sent to the salon owner for you to pick up.
Replacement Certificate
A charge of £15 per certificate will be charged to cover costs.
Insurance
To practice the therapy that you have just studied by guru holistic and beauty training, valid insurance is needed. Information regarding this is found in your manual.
Student insurance should be set up prior to attending, if you chose not to do this we hold no responsibility for treatments you provide once you leave the training venue.
Courses are accredited or approved for insurance cover through some or all of the following
ABT, Towergate, IPTI, IICT, BGi, IPHM, IGCT and a discount is available to you with some of these.
It is your responsibility to check that your existing insurance company will accept the course for insurance purposes.
Professional Standards
Guru holistic and beauty training teaches courses to a high standard adhering to all health and safety standards throughout.
Certificates are usually given out to students who have shown competence throughout the course. We have the right to withhold certificate if the tutor deems the student to not have reached a competent standard.
Case studies will be set and reassessment will be arranged and may incur an additional charge for this.
We do not have any responsibility for treatments you give to paying or non-paying clients including through case studies, we have recommended you obtain student insurance cover.
Support will be given to the student throughout the course but also after the course, via email.
For professional standards, certificate is awarded to show competence but it is expected that each therapist practices before taking payment and advertising for clients.
Attending the course
You will be expected to turn up on time for the course; the tutor is generally available for up to 15 minutes prior to the course start time.
Any medical conditions should be discussed prior to the course, and noted on your booking form. You should be prepared to give and receive treatments throughout the course to complete and be deemed competent. We accept both female and male students. Let us know if we can help with any issues regarding religion, gender etc. that may prevent you from any of the above.
- Please be dressed appropriately; a therapy uniform, leggings or jogging bottoms and a tee-shirt is acceptable.
- Flat shoes or socks for footwear. Please bring a pair of socks with you to training.
- Short nails, you cannot perform massage with long nails, so please do not turn up with long nails.
- Bring your manual with you unless pre-booked to have one provided for you.
- Bring photocopies of your main therapy qualification, unless sent previously.
- Bring a packed lunch and a drink to save time as lunch breaks are kept to a minimum.
- A good standard of English is required.

We hold the right to contact the insurance companies to remove your certification if felt necessary due to reported bad practice.
Manuals have been checked and approved for insurance cover and in some cases accreditation through all or some of the following
ABT, Towergate, IPTI, IPHM, IICT, IGCT, BGi.
Guru holistic and beauty training accept no liability for injury or loss to person or property throughout.
Grievance Policy
Guru holistic and beauty training seeks to ensure equitable treatment of every person and to make every attempt to resolve grievances in a fair manner. You are encouraged to first talk with us about any concerns you have. However, you do not have to do this before filing a formal grievance. The grievance will be dealt by one of the directors and tutors.
If you want to file a formal grievance, you should do so within 45 days of the time you become aware of the problem. Please submit a written grievance via email:

This will be addressed by us and one of our tutors for a second opinion.
All grievances will be addressed to the best of our ability in order to prevent further and future problems.
If you disagree with the outcome of your complaint you may ask us to forward your grievance to another tutor that teaches for us or you may send it yourself. Another tutor that does not teach for us will be asked to assist this process.
We have a zero policy to aggressive and rude behaviour.
License
You must adhere to the manual and your training to be accepted by guru holistic and beauty training. We cannot accept you deviating from the manual and training unless you are fully qualified and insured in the subject that you are covering.
Guru holistic and beauty training holds the right to remove you from the recommended list of therapists that have attended training with us and remove you from the Facebook group if found to be providing treatment in a way that would water down the training that you have received or bring the name guru holistic and beauty training into dispute.
